Becoming a mom for the first time is exciting and scary all at the same time. Pregnancy can feel like a long journey that culminates in the ultimate joy: motherhood. It’s no secret that having a baby is hard work!

Motherhood has taught so much about life, partner, and yourself and the need for patience is definitely in top 10 most important lessons. Remember to be patient with your baby, your partner, your loved ones, and yourself. Patience pays off!

Being a mom is a round-the-clock job. It’s hard work, sometimes painful work, with no days off, no sick days, and no vacation days. Being a mom is a big responsibility and also a superpower. We devote our lives to our children, but I wouldn’t have it any other way.

"" ""

It’s true. It’s deciding to love someone so much that you experience every one of their good and bad days as if they were your own. It really is like having your heart go walking around outside your body.

” It’s hard to show how bad it feels today in pictures.

My abdominal muscles have disappeared so far out to the sides that my organs and intestines are rolling around. I can feel them all the time and when I lie down I can see them moving under my skin. It bumps several inches up in several places on my stomach when I lie down and relax.

I’m constantly bloated and uncomfortable in it – yes, it just hurts all the time🙈 Especially if I’ve been active.

And when I wake up it bumps like I’m still pregnant

The skin is completely ruined!

I had no idea skin could get so thin and dry. It’s like a mixture of rice paper and used sand paper in the middle of the stomach.

And there’s so much skin it’s hanging out to all sides.

But the pain is worse now. In the back, in the lower back and in the stomach🥺

I have to wrap myself in both belly belt and pelvic belt when we go for a walk because otherwise I’ll be in too much pain…”

Nothing really prepared us for what it would be like to look in baby’s eyes and see our their eyes looking back at us. There is so much of us in our childhood. They has our smile, our nose, the tiny birthmark behind our left knee. It is absolutely extraordinary.

Tell me about it!

The changes to the body during pregnancy were hard, especially when we got too big to comfortably tie the shoes or get out of bed. Even the stretch marks that look ugly either…But it is so so worth it!

Remember that feeling well — the whole world revolved around the crush. We felt every good thing and the bad thing they did so intensely. Take that feeling and let it take over your entire body forever — and that is a perfect description of motherhood!

That’s right, ladies! We are strong and powerful. We have the strength to grow, birth, and raise an entirely new person.
